How does the chat function work?

Pathtalk.io is powered by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), a technology that enhances the reliability of AI responses. When you ask a question, our system:

1. Performs a vector hybrid search to find relevant information from our curated knowledge base
2. Uses these verified text snippets to generate accurate, referenced responses
3. Provides source citations for transparency and verification

While this approach significantly reduces AI hallucinations, we strongly encourage users to verify citations and references before making any clinical decisions.
